A multimedia journalist with more than 13 years of experience in production for leading international news networks from occupied Palestine.
With a passion for news, an eye for features, a drive for research, attention to details and skills to assure excellent reporting; Rania is a news executive dream in the field and behind the desk.
She holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Birzeit University in Ramallah and two graduate degrees – one in Democracy and Human Rights from Birzeit University, with a thesis entitled: “Refugees at Home: Which Protection System for the Internally Displaced?” and another in Journalism from Columbia University in New York.
Arabic is her mother-language, Rania has excellent command of English and good knowledge of German. She has extensive knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and good understanding of Middle East politics. A social media evangelist, she’s an old-school field producer who connects with people, can film and edit.
Rania is a member of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate in Jerusalem and the Foreign Press Association in Tel Aviv.
She lives in Ramallah with her husband and four-year-old son.
